Pickpocket arrested for stealing at funeral of MPA Khurrum Zaman’s mother

KARACHI: The pickpocket, who was caught stealing at the funeral of Sindh Assembly member Khurrum Sher Zaman’s mother has made surprising revelations during the interrogation.

According to details, an elderly thief, attending the funeral of the mother of Khurram Sher Zaman was arrested yesterday.

The accused made shocking revelations during the interrogation that he came to Karachi from Lahore only to rob people attending the funeral of Zaman’s deceased mother. The accused planned the robbery after watching the news of his mother’s death on TV. However, he was caught red-handed and his plan failed miserably. 

Assembly member Raja Azhar, who became the victim of accused’s heinous robbery act, in a statement said that the accused was living with a friend in the Nagan Chorangi area of Karachi. The accused revealed that he was to attend the funeral of Khurram Sher Zaman’s mother, and the father of PPP Sindh Assembly member Sharmila Farooqi.

He also admitted that after robbering people at Zaman’s mother’s funeral, his next target was the funeral of Sharmila Farooqi’s father.
