Tremors of an earthquake were felt in various cities of the country, including the federal capital Islamabad and Peshawar, spreading fear and panic, as reported by national media on Saturday.
According to details, tremors were felt in Mardan, Swat, and surrounding areas, in addition to Islamabad and Peshawar. Tremors were also felt in Nowshera and Swabi.
Tremors were reported in North Waziristan as well. Tremors were also felt in Attock. Due to the earthquake, people in different cities came out of their homes reciting the Kalma Tayyaba.
No reports of casualties have been received as a result of the earthquake.
Earlier, Two earthquakes, an hour apart, jolted Swat and Buner in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday afternoon. At approximately 12:45 PM, an earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale struck Swat at a depth of 185 kilometers.
According to the Seismological Center in Islamabad, the epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range, as reported in April this year. Subsequently, at approximately 1:45 PM, another earthquake occurred in Buner, situated approximately 100 kilometers from Swat.
