The Indian Army has confirmed that Pakistan targeted 26 sites in India as part of its military operation named “Bunyan-al-Marsoos.”
This operation was launched by Pakistan in retaliation after India conducted missile strikes on Pakistani airbases. The Pakistani military said multiple Indian military sites, including a BrahMos missile storage facility, brigade headquarters, and supply depots, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as Punjab, were targeted and destroyed.
In a joint media briefing by the Indian government and the Indian army, they confirmed the Pakistani attack on 26 sites.
The briefing was led by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi of the Army and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Indian Air Force (IAF).
They said that Pakistan attacked Indian airbases in Udhampur, Pathankot, and Bathind,a among other stations, last night.
The Pakistani army’s actions constituted provocation, and accordingly, India acted in a measured fashion, Mr Misri said.
The Pakistani army used drones and other high-calibre weapons to attack India’s western front. In total, 26 Indian cities were targeted. India neutralised most of the attacks, the government said at the press briefing
“Pakistan also attacked school and medical facilities in Srinagar, Avantipura, and Udhampur,” Col Sofiya Qureshi claimed.
