The annual Met Gala kicked off at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, paying tribute to history, culture, and style, as reported by international media.
According to details, rain did not dampen the spirit of this major fashion event, where designers, models, and stylists joined key figures from the fashion world on the Met’s iconic steps.
This year’s gala focused for the first time on menswear, presenting designers with the challenge of reinventing traditions for women. Exaggerated suiting was seen on the red carpet, such as Doja Cat’s broad shoulders in a 1980s-style Marc Jacobs blazer, and wide-collared coats worn by everyone from actress Tessa Thompson to rapper Doechii.

Men also embraced colorful and theatrical suiting: “Bridgerton” actor Regé-Jean Page in red, Henry Golding in gold, and musician Bad Bunny wearing a brown two-piece suit with a Puerto Rican pava hat.

Some attendees paid tribute to Black icons, such as Oscar-nominated actor Colman Domingo, one of the Met Gala’s co-chairs.

He arrived in a blue Valentino cape as a tribute to former Vogue editor André Leon Talley. Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton also honored the fashion journalist with his shiny leather shoes.

Notably, Bollywood stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh were also part of the Met Gala 2025 event, showcasing their beautiful and stylish looks, and were appreciated by fans on social media.
