The Meteorological Department has forecast thunderstorms and rain across the country from today until May 12.
According to the spokesperson of the Meteorological Department, a western weather system will affect the upper and central regions. Winds bringing rain are expected to move through the central and southern parts of the country. Between May 7 and 11, there is a likelihood of rain accompanied by strong winds in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Murree, and Galiyat.
There is also a possibility of strong winds and rain in many cities of Punjab including Lahore, Sargodha, Jhelum, Attock, and Gujrat. From May 7 to 12, strong winds and rain are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, and Shangla.
Meanwhile, rain is also expected in Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, and Malakand. Several cities in Balochistan and Sindh are also likely to experience strong winds and rain.
The spell of rain continues in various parts of Punjab including Lahore. The weather in Lahore has become pleasant due to the rain. So far, the highest rainfall recorded is 2 mm in Pani Wala Talab, while 1 mm of rain has been recorded in Gulberg, Upper Mall, and Tajpura.
