ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza on Friday chaired a high level to overview the cases of dengue prevalent across the country.
The health advisor was informed that more than 19000 patients across the country have been treated through free quality treatment provided by the government, out of which 7500 who were admitted have been treated and discharged.
Free quality services are being provided to every patient at all government health facilities, the meeting was informed. Dr. Zafar Mirza directed to ensure anti-dengue spray in all areas of the twin cities.
The meeting was attended by the federal secretary of national health services ministry, high ranking officials of all public health facilities, and administration of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
The meeting was told that the current situation has improved and patients are being facilitated at all hospitals.
A state of the art dengue diagnostic mechanism has been installed in Islamabad to monitor real time dengue situation.
SAPM directed to ensure a robust awareness campaign to spread dengue preventive messages in OPDs of all major hospitals.
Dengue control room focal updated there were 20,195 updated cases, of which over 19,000 have been treated.
