An explosion occurred near a traffic police mobile unit in the Darra Pezu area of Lakki Marwat district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as reported by national media.
Police officials stated that three personnel, including the police mobile in-charge Imran, were injured in the blast, and the vehicle caught fire. The injured were transferred to a local hospital.
Further details about the explosion have not yet emerged.
A few days ago, in the jurisdiction of the Saddar Police Station in Lakki Marwat, terrorists attacked the house of police official Rafiullah with a bomb, resulting in the collapse of part of the house. Police stated that the terrorists blew up two rooms of the police official’s house using an IED bomb. Two rooms were completely destroyed, and other belongings were also damaged.
According to the police, a search operation has been launched in the area and the attackers will be arrested soon. A day before that incident, in the jurisdiction of Ghazni Khel Police Station in Lakki Marwat, an FC (Frontier Constabulary) personnel was killed in terrorist firing.
