India has been burning in the fire of animosity since the creation of Pakistan and blaming Pakistan on every issue including Kashmir has been the eternal pattern of India. And Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar’s accusation against Pakistan is also a part of this shameful propaganda campaign.
The entire world knows that the course of Indian politics depends on the opposition of Pakistan and now as the elections are near in India, Indian politicians have made a strategy to get votes by insulting Pakistan to cover up their poor performance.
Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar stressed on joint efforts to fight terrorism in the meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization and in the press conference after the meeting he called Occupied Kashmir as his integral part.
Rejecting the possibility of resuming talks with Pakistan, India Foreign Minister once again accused its Pakistani counterpart Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and described him as the “spokesman, promoter and justifier of the terrorist industry”.
The neutral platform of the SCO, under Article 2 of which countries are encouraged to resolve their disputes through mutual dialogue, But India used this platform for levelling allegations against Pakistan without mentioning its name. By this attitude India destroyed the chances of improvement in bilateral relations in the near future.
Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar’s pointing towards Pakistan by making accusations of terrorism from the neutral platform of SCO is a reflection of the Indian government’s intentions.
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, while explaining Pakistan’s point of view on the Kashmir issue on Indian soil, bluntly said that unless the decision to change the special status of Kashmir on August 5, 2019 is withdrawn and Article 370 will not be implemented. There can be no negotiations and also beautifully shed light on the use of terrorism as a diplomatic weapon for point-scoring.
Interestingly, the Indian foreign minister was once again exposed by using terrorism for point scoring and Jaishankar embarrassed himself as the host while holding a press conference in his country by calling Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as the spokesperson of terrorists.
Politics and the state are two different things and both have different problems and interests, political parties in any country in the world do not allow their differences to conflict with the interests of the country.
It was seen that when Bilawal Bhutto Zardari left for the SCO meeting as the Foreign Minister, the opposition parties started criticizing the Foreign Minister of their own country, whereas when a leader goes abroad to represent the state, the opposition avoids rhetoric.
Pakistan is currently struggling with internal and external challenges, and in such a situation, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting in India was a new test for Pakistan, but Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto participated in this meeting and instead of leaving the field open against India presented Pakistan’s position.
In political conflict, political parties need to keep Pakistan completely separate from all their affairs, because if Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto had not participated in this meeting, India might have got an opportunity to show more intensity against Pakistan.
SCO is a huge forum and this organization represents 40% of the world’s population while 4 nuclear powers are part of this platform and a major part of the world’s economy revolves around the countries of this organization. In the context of new alignments at the global level, Pakistan’s participation in the SCO meeting is of great importance.
America’s foreign policy revolves around reducing China’s influence and America is doing its best to reduce China’s economic power. The important point here is that while China and Russia are part of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, apart from the five major countries, Saudi Arabia and Iran have also become dialogue partners of the SCO.
In such a situation, when the major powers of the region are united on one platform, it will be more difficult for the US to achieve its goals. It is also important to mention here that on one side there is the Strings of Pearls in which Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Bangladesh and the series meet with South China in comparison to which the USA has Strings of Alliances which starts from India and It includes the Philippines, Japan, Australia, thus the US is trying to control the sea water.
As far as the loan program from IMF is concerned, if we look at Pakistan’s inclination towards China, we should also remember that the major source of our trade is the US and it is crystal clear that the America has its influence on IMF and it is not possible to ignore the role of America in getting loans.
Now if we talk about the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting again, the initial results of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto’s visit to India seem encouraging because one of the biggest developments in the changing landscape of the region is the restoration of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran. In this scenario, it would not be beneficial for Pakistan to remain isolated.
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s arrival in India was very good. We should see this visit not in the context of Pakistan and India but as a broad platform. Although it is not right to look at the bilateral problems and conflicts of Pakistan and India on this platform, however, if we look, this forum with 40% of the world’s population is currently the strongest and most powerful platform in the region. And now after the inclusion of Iran and Saudi Arabia, the strength of this organization is expected to increase further.
It is true that India is busy developing its relations with the West, but India is also well aware that withdrawing from the SCO will be very detrimental to India and will divide India’s interests as India will lose its trade and SCO member countries can also use this platform to promote trade cooperation.
Trade and diplomatic relations between Pakistan and India have been severed for the past few years due to a few unresolved issues, but going forward, if Pakistan or India take steps towards trade relations through this platform, both sides will resolve mutual issues.
It would not be right to expect too much immediately from Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto’s visit to India because diplomacy is the name of continuous relations. China has also strengthened its position in the region by its consistency. So, continuous efforts will have to be made to end the ongoing conflicts and tensions between the influential countries of the region.
It is a fact that there are many disputes between China and India, but the volume of mutual trade between the two is more than 87 billion dollars and both countries do not want to reduce the trade despite all the differences and problems, but they are trying to increase this trade volume.
Through its positive diplomacy, China is also active in resolving the issues of Palestine and Israel. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto’s visit can prove to be a good step to restore the expected relations between Pakistan and India in the future and it is hoped that China will emerge as the first powerful country in the near future. In such a case, not only China will settle its border issues with India, but also in the case of Kashmir, China can play the role of assisting Pakistan and India.
For this, it is necessary that India abandons its nefarious intentions and comes to the negotiating table with good intentions for peace and security in the region so that instead of blaming, a solution to the joint problems can be found. However, this cannot be expected considering the elections in India and Modi’s aggressive policies.
