The swearing-in ceremony of three new additional judges was held in the Islamabad High Court and Justice Sardar Ishaq Khan, Justice Saman Rifat Imtiaz and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir have taken an oath.
According to details, three new additional judges have been appointed in Islamabad High Court. The swearing-in ceremony of the three judges was attended by eminent personalities from the judiciary and other fields.
Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Athar Minallah administered the oath of office to Justice Sardar Ishaq Khan, Justice Saman Rifat Imtiaz, and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir.
It should be noted that Islamabad High Court is counted among the most important courts of the country. The Lahore High Court opposed the government’s proposal to set up an Islamabad High Court.
However, on December 24, 2007, the Islamabad High Court was established under a decision of the Supreme Court and the 18th Amendment to the Constitution. The High Court is still hearing the most important national issues of the country.
