Preparations for the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation meeting on the situation in Afghanistan have been completed as OIC General Hussein Ibrahim Taha has arrived in Pakistan.
According to details, the meeting of the OIC will be held on December 19 in Islamabad. Minister of State for Information Farrukh Habib welcomed the OIC General Secretary on his arrival in the Federal Capital Territory.
Other officials were also present on the occasion. While welcoming the visit of OIC General Secretary Hussein Ibrahim Taha to Pakistan, Minister of State Farrukh Habib said that it was an honor for Pakistan to host the OIC Conference.
OIC Secretary-General Hussein Ibrahim Taha has said that Pakistan has played its best role in a peaceful and stable Afghanistan. Special arrangements were made at Islamabad Airport on the arrival of the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Secretary-General Hussein Ibrahim Taha said that the extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation would consider the situation in Afghanistan. The OIC Secretary-General will also call on Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Other guests, including Hussein Ibrahim Taha, will attend an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers on December 19. Security will be tight for three days for the OIC meeting in the federal capital.
