Three women among, five Pakistani Umrah pilgrims were killed in a bus accident while traveling from Al-Badr to Madinah.
All the victims were residents of the Bahawalnagar district in Punjab province.
Of the deceased, two women were from village 228/9-R, while the third was from village 201 Murad. The two male victims, both elderly, were from village 39/3-R and the town of Dahranwala, respectively.
According to Saudi authorities and rescue officials, the bus collided with a trailer en route to the holy city, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries among the pilgrims.
Emergency response teams arrived promptly at the scene, transferring both the deceased and the injured to nearby hospitals.
A rescue official reported that the injured included women, children, and elderly individuals.
