After Karachi, enraged attackers in Mirpurkhas also pelted stones at a foreign food franchise, breaking its glass windows and setting the franchise on fire, as reported by national media.
According to a report, on Tuesday night, the foreign food franchise located on Hyderabad Road, a well-known commercial area in Mirpurkhas, was attacked by furious assailants.
After pelting stones and vandalizing the franchise, the attackers set it on fire. However, a large contingent of police arrived and dispersed the attackers by aerial firing, taking 11 of them into custody, after which the situation came under control.
Police said strict legal action will be taken against those who take the law into their own hands. Earlier on Tuesday, in the Defence Khayaban-e-Ittehad area of Karachi, an angry crowd stormed a foreign food chain’s restaurant and smashed its glass windows.
Police forces were called in to manage the situation. According to police, the enraged individuals were allegedly protesting against Israeli atrocities in Palestine.
