Karachi will remain under the influence of intense heat, and the temperature is expected to rise further.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the Met Office has warned of a potential heatwave in the city from April 13 to April 18.
The department states that daytime temperatures are likely to increase by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius. On Saturday, the maximum temperature in the city reached 38°C, while the heat intensity was felt up to 41°C.
According to the department, the weather will likely remain very hot and humid in the next 24 hours. Currently, the sky is clear, and the weather is hot.
The recorded temperature is 29°C, with winds blowing from the west at 11 km/h.
The humidity level is 78%, which is contributing to the increased intensity of the heat.
The Meteorological Department has advised citizens to avoid going out in the sun unnecessarily and to increase water intake to prevent heatstroke.
