Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar narrowly escaped a firing incident near Khenjo, Dharki, on Sunday, which left four of his security guards injured.
In a distress call to his close associates, MPA Jam Mehtab revealed, “Our vehicles have come under fire in Khenjo, and three to four people have been injured.” He further stated, “The firing is still ongoing, and armed men have taken us hostage,” 24News reported.
Following the incident, police launched an immediate response, with DSP Daharki confirming that reinforcements from Ubauro, Daharki, and Khenjo had been dispatched to the scene.
Reports indicate that the attack is linked to a tribal feud between the Shar and Seelro tribes in Sindh, with MPA Jam Mehtab reportedly having strong ties to the Seelro tribe.

The incident comes a day after a member of the Seelro tribe was killed. The victim’s father subsequently filed a police case against former MPA and PPP leader from Ubauro, Sheharyar Shar, and his son. Allegedly, MPA Jam Mehtab Dahar had been supporting the victim’s Seelro family.
