ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has expressed deep sense of sorrow over loss of precious lives as a result of suicide bombing in Balochistan, after which he began the routine anti-PTI tirade, bashing Imran Khan and his conduct of politics and accusing him of trying to get ‘help’ from establishment.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Khawaja Asif said for the last few days Imran Khan had started a drama and he wanted to get ‘help’ in next elections.
He said the PTI chief was involved in number of cases of financial misappropriation and he should be held accountable for this. He alleged that Khan was inciting the masses and his workers against the state institutions, and even escaping to face the courts.
He claimed that Khan started politics with Gen Musharraf, and didn’t take a single step or spend a single time in politics without the backing of establishment, adding that PTI’s politics had no value unless it gets ventilator support of the establishment.
Khawaja Asif said these days, Khan was begging for a meeting (with the top figure in establishment), adding that he should be arrested on court orders, and would soon be arrested as government was in no hurry to lock him up.

He went on criticizing Khan, saying that the Jail Bharo Movement was a shame as the detained leaders and workers remained in jail for a day or two only. The minister also requested the court to deal with the PTI chief as per the law adding that the impression must not be made that Khan is being accommodated in any way.
He went on alleging that Khan was using ‘fake plaster’ and that his supporters would now have started realizing that ‘how coward there leader was’.
He said politicians had given numerous sacrifices for this cou0ntry, and the biggest one was given by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto who was hanged to death, adding that politicians did not merely appear on TV and shed tears.

Khawaja Asif said that Nawaz Sharif and his daughter were made to appear courts in courts for several times, and the PMLN supremo was even got disqualified, but never made compromise on credibility.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Defense Minister said that the surge in terror incidents was alarming. He said Pakistan had fought a full scale war against terrorism and achieved success.
The Defence Minister said he received positive response from the interim Afghan authorities during his recent visit to Kabul and under Doha agreement, Afghanistan is bound that its soil is not used for terrorism and against Pakistan. He further said that an Afghan delegation was expected to visit Pakistan soon.
