LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced the launch of a free motorbike scheme for girls, encouraging parents to trust their daughters and allow them to take advantage of the initiative.
She announced this on Monday during the closing ceremony of the inaugural Chief Minister Pink Games at a gymnasium. At the event, she presented a trophy to the winning team from Lahore College for Women University and distributed prizes to other successful teams.
However, she did not disclose the details of the free motorbike scheme for girls, including the number of motorbikes to be provided and the eligibility criteria. She may disclose these details in the coming days.
Maryam Nawaz highlighted the appointment of a young and capable sports minister in Punjab, who aims to expand the reach of the Pink Games throughout the province. She also announced plans to introduce the Punjab League after the Pink Games, expecting participation from one million individuals and extending the competition across the province.
In a separate event, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed assistant commissioners to address public grievances promptly. During a meeting with the assistant commissioners of Punjab, the chief minister emphasized the government’s zero-tolerance policy against all forms of corruption. She urged the assistant commissioners to show respect to public representatives and not to comply with orders from unauthorized sources.
