Following six consecutive sessions of decline, gold prices staged a remarkable rebound in Pakistan on Monday, mirroring a surge in the international market. Locally, the price per tola of gold surged to Rs240,500, marking a significant single-day increase of Rs2,500.
According to data provided by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10 grams of gold reached Rs206,190 after a notable rise of Rs2,143. This uptrend comes on the heels of an Rs1,600 per tola drop observed on Saturday.
Internationally, the price of gold experienced an upward trajectory, reaching $2,322 per ounce (with a premium of $20) after a $21 increase throughout the day, as reported by APGJSA.
Meanwhile, silver rates remained steady at Rs2,620 per tola.
The resurgence in gold prices comes after a cumulative loss of Rs7,000 per tola over the preceding six consecutive sessions. Notably, last month, gold reached an all-time high of Rs252,200 per tola in the domestic market.
