KARACHI: Former Finance Minister Shoukat Tarin on Sunday, lambasted the federal cabinet for approving an ordinance to sell all state’s assets. He called it ‘Outrageous’ asking if someone will stop this insanity.
Taking to twitter the finance minister in PTI government said “PDM cabinet approves ordinance to bypass all procedures & abolish regulatory checks for selling state’s assets to foreign countries. Cabinet committee decisions on the sale of assets can neither be challenged in courts nor probed by investigation agencies.”
This is outrageous. Why are we selling our family silver when share prices of our profitable SOEs are at a deep discount due to a) no dividends given in last few years bec of liquidity and b) the PSX crash since imported has taken over. Will someone stop this insanity?
