ISLAMABAD: ASP Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi, hailed for her courageous intervention in rescuing a woman from a violent mob at Lahore’s Ichhra Market, has received a special invitation for a royal visit from Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki.
During a meeting hosted by the Saudi embassy, Ambassador Al-Malki commended ASP Syeda Shehrbano’s bravery and professionalism in handling a perilous situation. He expressed deep admiration for her dedication to duty and extended an invitation for her and her family to visit Saudi Arabia as honored guests, with the assurance that the Saudi government would cover all associated expenses.
In a separate event, ASP Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi met with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters, Gulberg. General Munir took the opportunity to acknowledge the significant contributions of Pakistani women in various aspects of life.
Reflecting on the accomplishments of Pakistani women, General Munir stated, “Since the inception of Pakistan, women in our country have showcased remarkable talent, resilience, and dedication, both domestically and internationally.” The recognition highlights the ongoing efforts to appreciate and celebrate the achievements of women in Pakistan across different spheres.
