PM Khan to visit Saudi Arabia, Iran on Oct 15

Anti-govt march: PM to chair core committee meeting today
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is once again scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia and Iran respectively on 15th October.

Special Assistant Naeem-ul-Haq on Friday confirmed that the prime minister will visit Iran where he will hold important meetings with the Iranian leadership including President Hasan Rouhani.

The prime minister will depart to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to pay a one-day official visit to Saudi Arabia and later, he will leave for Iran.

The prime minister is making efforts to defuse tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia and a breakthrough is expected during his visit. 
The visit of the prime minister to Iran is considered to be very significant after he had offered to act as a mediator to defuse tensions in the Middle East.
The prime minister’s act to mediate came upon the request of US President Donald Trump and the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his visit to both countries.
Imran Khan will also participate in a three-day Future Investment Initiative (FII) on 29t October 2019 in Riyadh on the invitation of Saudi King Salman.
Earlier on Tuesday, the prime minister visited Saudi Arabia to discuss the bilateral significance between both countries.
