Man kills elderly mother, female neighbor with iron rod in Lahore’s Harbanspura

A man allegedly killed his elderly mother and a female neighbor by attacking them with an iron rod in the Harbanspura area of Lahore.

According to police, two daughters of the neighboring woman were also injured in the attack, while the suspect has been arrested.

Police said the 70-year-old woman, Sultana, had a minor dispute with her neighbor, Kaneez Fatima. Following the argument, the suspect, identified as Aurangzeb, allegedly assaulted both women, resulting in their deaths.

Meanwhile, two women arrested on charges of theft and fraud died while in custody at Lahore’s Township Police Station.

Police claimed that both women died due to excessive drug use.

Authorities said multiple cases had been registered against the women and that they were also involved in drug consumption.

According to police, the women were taken into custody after the Operations Wing responded to an emergency call on 15.

Complainants had registered cases against the women under charges of theft and fraud. When their health deteriorated, Rescue 1122 was called to the police station, and they were shifted to a hospital, where they later died.

Three killed in hand grenade blast during family dispute in Lakki Marwat
