LAHORE: Punjab Human Organ Transplant Authority (PHOTA) has banned liver transplantation at Sheikh Zayed Hospital after three patients died.
In this regard, a fact-finding committee was also formed including one donor among those who died.
As per media reports, a six-member committee has banned the liver transplant in the hospital.
Since 2012, the hospital has performed 136 transplant procedures, and most of them remained successful.
Similarly last month, patients allegedly lost their vision after eye drops were delivered to them in Islamabad. Some of them have undergone glaucoma operations.
