MANSEHRA: A mother of three was killed in a bear attack in Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Thursday. The tragic incident occurred in the Juggan area of Balakot tehsil.
According to police, the attack happened in the Juggan area, where an enraged wild bear fatally attacked the woman.
In response, the relatives of the deceased staged a protest in front of the deputy superintendent of police (DSP) office, demanding an FIR against the responsible officials.
Speaking to the protesters, DSP Balakot Circle, Muhammad Farood, assured them that legal action would be taken against any identified negligent wildlife officials. He urged the protesters to remain calm, emphasizing that justice would be served and no one was above the law.
The DSP mentioned that the assistant commissioner had established a committee, led by the divisional wildlife officer, to investigate the incident.
“If any negligence is found, punitive action will be taken,” he said.
