KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced the introduction of a shuttle service to facilitate easier commuting for lawyers between Malir Courts and City Courts.
On Saturday, a delegation from the Karachi Bar Association (KBA) met with Sindh Senior Minister for Transport & Mass Transit, Excise & Taxation, Narcotics Control, and Information, Sharjeel Inam Memon.
The meeting was attended by KBA General Secretary Ikhtiar Ali Channa, along with Raj Ali Wahid, Abdul Qadir Soomro, and Abdul Faheem Memon. They discussed various issues faced by lawyers, with a particular focus on transportation challenges.
Minister Memon announced that the provincial government would offer travel facilities to lawyers, including a shuttle service between Kabootar Chowk and City Courts to simplify the commute between Malir Courts and City Courts. He also praised the KBA’s contributions to promoting democracy and the rule of law, emphasizing the importance of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) initiatives for lawyers, inspired by the leadership of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto.
