ISLAMABAD: There is great news about the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays across the country as the information received from the Cabinet Division has stated when and how long the Holy holidays will be.
According to the details, the private TV channel has claimed that the Cabinet Division started work 3 days before the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. Around 4 to 5 holidays will be suggested to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
After receiving the summary, PM Shehbaz Sharif will decide on the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. The last ashra of Ramadan has begun and, to mark the end of the holy period, Muslims across the country will observe Shab-e-Qadr (Laylat ul-Qadr). This year, Laylat al-Qadr is expected to celebrate on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Shab-e-Qadr is deemed one of the holiest nights.
Like other parts of Pakistan, hundreds of thousands of Muslims sat in Itikaf in mosques and women at homes last evening. If Eid will be observed on a Saturday, holidays can be given from April 20 to 24.

Private TV claimed from reliable sources that after approval from PM Shehbaz Sharif, the Cabinet Division will issue the official notification for the Eid holidays in a few days.
According to a local newspaper, the Cabinet Division has sent the summary of the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays to the prime minister. Five holidays are likely to be given on Eid which is likely to start on next week’s Thursday i.e. April 20.
The last holiday will be on Monday, April 24, but the final decision on the holidays will be taken by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. This year, the moon of Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to be visible on April 21. The meeting of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held on the evening of April 20.
