The much-awaited US famous series ‘Friends’ reunion is finally happening and will soon hit the screens as confirmed by Dr. Ross Geller himself.
Actor David Schwimmer, ironically known for essaying the role of Ross Geller in ‘Friends’ recently confirmed that the cast will be taping the reunion episode soon. The news of the reunion has been going on since before the pandemic arrived but after the COVID-19, the production had been postponing the release date ever since.
However now, in an interview, Schwimmer, who plays Ross Gellar on the show, has confirmed that the main cast will be coming together soon to film the episode. The 54-year-old said: “It’s happening. Actually, in a little over a month, I’m heading out to LA.”
“So, finally, I mean, we figured out a way to film it safely and there’s going to be a portion of it that we filmed outside because of, you know, for safety protocols,” he continued.
Schwimmer was also asked if the gig would be hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, and making sure to not spill much he said, “I can tell you it’s not Ellen, and it’s not Billy Crystal. I can tell you who it’s not, but that’ll take a while, probably.”
The TV special, which was originally set to film in March of 2020, will finally take place this spring. The show will include six original cast members including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Matthew Perry.
