LAHORE: Security forces tightened siege against terrorists as the CTD has conducted 22 intelligence-based operations across Punjab.
According to the CTD spokesman, three terrorists were killed and four arrested during operations in different cities across the province. As per the details, CTD killed three terrorists during an operation in Pakpattan. One of the killed terrorists was identified as Manzoor Ahmed while two unidentified persons were also killed.
Two hand grenades, a Kalashnikov, and other weapons were recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists in Pakpattan. According to the CTD spokesman, the CTD arrested a terrorist belonging to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during an operation in Chiniot. The terrorist was identified as Abdul Rahim Maki. 1,100 grams of explosives and other bomb-making equipment were recovered from the terrorists’ possession.

CTD in an operation in Sahiwal arrested Ghaffar belonging to banned TTP. A hand grenade and other bomb-making equipment were recovered from the possession of the arrested terrorist. The CTD also conducted an operation in Rawalpindi and arrested Rahim Akbar of the banned TTP. The CTD claimed that the arrested terrorist was trying to spread sectarian riots and provocative pamphlets were recovered from his possession.
In another operation, CTD arrested Hassan Raza from Multan belonging to banned Tehreek-e-Jaffariah Pakistan. The arrested terrorist was trying to spread sectarian riots. A CTD spokesman said the CTD had registered a case against all those arrested and launched an investigation.
