A girl standing on the roof of her house was killed by a bullet during aerial firing at a wedding ceremony in New Karachi, as reported by national media.
According to details, the incident took place in Sector 11-D of New Karachi, where a student was fatally shot during aerial firing at a wedding celebration while she was standing on the rooftop. Rescue officials confirmed that the deceased was identified as 27-year-old Laiba, whose body has been moved to the hospital for legal procedures.
The victim’s brother informed the police that a wedding was taking place next door for a young man named Ahmed Raza, where participants engaged in heavy aerial firing. He further stated that Laiba, a medical student, was studying for her exams on the rooftop when she was hit by the bullet.
According to police officials, Laiba was struck in the head by a bullet, which caused her death. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
It is worth noting that just last month, a similar incident occurred in Karachi’s Lyari area, where a young girl playing on the roof was killed by a stray bullet. The deceased child lived on the seventh floor of a building and was playing on the roof when a bullet from an unknown direction struck her in the head, resulting in her death.
