Following the recent arrest of a husband-wife robbery gang in Karachi, police have now apprehended a dangerous father-daughter duo involved in multiple street crimes and motorcycle snatching incidents.
New Karachi police arrested Bilal, son of Suragh, and his biological daughter Shumaila. Weapons, a snatched motorcycle, and narcotics were recovered from their possession.
According to SHO New Karachi Faiz-ul-Hasan, the father and daughter were apprehended using CCTV footage. On April 14, they had snatched a motorcycle at gunpoint from a citizen named Nouman outside his home in Sector 11-L of New Karachi.
A case regarding the incident has been registered at New Karachi Police Station under FIR No. 214/2025. The suspect’s face is clearly visible in the CCTV footage of the crime.
The SHO revealed that Bilal used his 16-year-old daughter during the crimes in an attempt to avoid arrest. He added that Bilal’s brother-in-law, Faheem, was also involved in the robberies but is currently on the run. Efforts are underway to arrest him.
During the initial investigation, Bilal confessed to committing four robberies with the help of his daughter. This is his first arrest, while the absconding brother-in-law has a criminal history and several cases registered against him at different police stations.
