The mystery of the body found in a briefcase in Shah Latif was solved within 72 hours, revealing it to be a love triangle that tragically ended in a brutal killing, as reported by national media on Tuesday.
On Friday, a tortured male body was found in a briefcase in the Shah Latif area of Karachi. Shah Latif Police solved the blind murder case within 72 hours and arrested a woman involved in the murder along with her lover.
The murder weapon, a hammer, and gloves used in the crime were recovered from the arrested suspects. Police officials stated that it was an extremely complicated case.
The arrested suspects, Mola Bakhsh Chandio and the woman Aliza, made significant revelations. They revealed that Aliza had her former lover, a bus conductor named Aashiq, killed by her current lover, a security guard named Mola Bakhsh.
Police stated that four months ago, bus conductor Asif had befriended Aliza on a bus from Ranipur. Asif had visited Aliza two to three times. Aliza’s husband, who is also a security guard, used to work with the killer, Mola Bakhsh Chandio.
Officials stated that a month ago, Mola Bakhsh came to visit Aliza’s husband at their home, during which he became friends with Aliza. During this time, Mola Bakhsh also found out about Asif’s relationship with Aliza, which upset him. Later, the ruthless killer contacted Aliza, and together they called Asif over.
Asif came happily with sweets and flowers. While he was in the room, Mola Bakhsh Chandio, who was hiding, wore gloves and hit Asif on the head with a hammer. Meanwhile, Aliza removed her scarf, tore it into two pieces, and helped strangle Asif with it.
After the murder, Aliza ate a piece of the sweet (barfi) Asif had brought, while Mola Bakhsh took the rest, which was eaten by his children. To dispose of the body, they hired a rickshaw for 300 rupees and dumped the body near a forest in Sector 21. Police solved this highly complex blind murder case using technical methods within 72 hours; however, further action is ongoing.
