In a rare accident near Khanewal railway station, 27 passengers were injured when a signal pole ladder suddenly collided with moving trains.
According to railway officials, the injured include women, elderly people, and youth, but all of them are out of danger.
The incident took place when the Awam Express (Up and Down) and Musa Pak Express were passing by. According to initial reports, several passengers were injured after sticking their hands out of the windows and hitting the ladder.
Railway officials have suspected that the incident could be the result of a conspiracy, as unknown persons deliberately threw the signal pole ladder onto the tracks, which led to this dangerous accident. A full investigation into the incident has been launched to determine those responsible and prevent such incidents in the future.
Rescue 1122 immediately reached the spot and provided first aid to the injured. Four people were provided medical assistance on the spot, while 13 injured people were shifted to the Civil Hospital.
