Renowned Shia scholar Allama Shehanshah Naqvi reportedly arrested

Renowned Shia religious scholar Allama Shehanshah Hussain Naqvi has reportedly been arrested.

According to circulating reports on social media, Allama Shehanshah Naqvi was taken into custody from Islamabad and moved to an undisclosed location.

However, there has been no official confirmation or statement from the authorities or Islamabad police regarding his arrest.

Sources indicate that during a recent religious gathering (Majlis) in Peshawar, certain remarks made by the scholar were deemed controversial by some groups, which subsequently led to demands for his arrest.

Social media platforms have since seen multiple trending campaigns calling for his detention.
