LAHORE: Another patient of COVID-19 has died in Lahore on Wednesday, taking the death toll to 17 in the province.
The 32-year-old female was admitted to Mayo Hospital on 3rd April. The patient was in critical condition when she was brought to the hospital.
The deceased was already suffering from kidneys problem. This is the ninth death in Lahore, while the toll has climbed to 59 in Pakistan.
The number of coronavirus cases surged to 4,072 in Pakistan. The country recorded 208 cases during the last 24 hours. As many as 467 patients have recovered from the disease while 28 are in critical condition.
Moreover, a 44-year-old man died in Lahore due to novel coronavirus. He was brought in to Jinnah Hospital after showing serious symptoms of being infected with the COVID-19.
The medical superintendent of Jinnah Hospital confirmed the death, adding that the patient was shifted to an isolated quarantine center of the hospital four days prior to death.
