The initial signing process of a proposed Iran–US agreement has been completed virtually, with a formal signing ceremony scheduled to take place on Friday, according to a report by CNN citing a US official.
The report stated that US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance both signed a memorandum of understanding with Iran through virtual means.
On the Iranian side, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf signed the document, completing the preliminary phase of the agreement process.
According to the US official cited by CNN, the initial signing does not mark the final conclusion of the agreement. Instead, a formal ceremony involving both sides will be held on Friday to officially sign the deal.

Speaking on the floor of the National Assembly, the prime minister said that “after a dark night of conflict, the sun of peace has risen,” adding that the two countries had announced a permanent end to military operations across all fronts.
He said that despite difficult circumstances, both sides demonstrated patience, restraint, and wisdom throughout the negotiation process, which ultimately led to a breakthrough agreement.
