BANNU: Deputy Commissioner Bannu has clarified that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Maulana Naseem Ali Shah has been arrested under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) Ordinance and detained in Mansehra.
According to reports, police arrested Maulana Naseem Shah in Bannu two days ago. A video of his arrest has also surfaced, showing police personnel taking him into custody.
The footage appears to show Shah offering some resistance during the arrest, after which police personnel forcibly took him away. Rangers personnel can also be seen at the scene.
According to the deputy commissioner, Shah was taken into custody under Section 3 of the MPO and subsequently detained in Mansehra.
Further details regarding the circumstances of his detention, along with the official detention order issued by the administration, are yet to emerge.
