Umar Gul criticizes ‘family’ players’ selection in Kashmir Premier League 2

KARACHI: Former pacer Umar Gul took a dig at players’ selection in Kashmir Premier League (KPL) season 2.

Taking to Twitter, Gul highlighted the selection of some family cricketers of the teams’ head coaches.

“It’s totally fine to give chance to deserving players but making it a Family Premier league instead of Kashmir Premier league is actually interesting,” wrote Gul while tagging Rashid Latif and KPL.

Former Test cricketer and head coach of Mirpur Royals, Abdul Razzaq selected his son Ali Razzaq in his franchise for KPL 2. On the other hand, Kotli Lions’ head coach Saeed Azad also included his nephews, Hanif Azad and Imran Shah, in his team for KPL 2.

KPL 2 is scheduled from August 13 to 26 in Muzaffarabad.
