KARACHI: Airport police have arrested three accused of stealing a diamond set and gold worth Rs 1.9 million from a flight bound for Lahore.
According to details, gold worth Rs 1.9 million was stolen from the luggage loaded on the flight from Karachi Airport to Lahore. When a resident of Karachi reached Lahore via a private airline, jewelery was missing from her booked bag, which was reported to Karachi Airport.
Upon receiving the complaint, the airport police started searching for the accused. Airport police arrested three employees in connection with the theft of diamond sets and jewelery from the booked luggage at Karachi Airport.

During the investigation, stolen jewelery has been recovered from the accused. The incident is being further investigated by the three accused. Authorities said that those stealing luggage booked at the airport will be punished according to law.
