MUMBAI: Late Sushant Singh Rajput’s ‘Dil Bechara’ has become the highest-rated film in Indian cinema on IMDb – a platform that usually ranks films as per the audience’s votes.
Directed by Mukesh Chhabra and also starring Sanjana Sanghi, the film is an official Hindi adaptation of Hollywood film ‘The Fault In Our Stars’. The film served as the final bow for the late Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput.
Within minutes of the release, Dil Bechara witnessed viewers taking over the OTT platform to watch Sushant’s last film, due to which the site reportedly got crashed for some time. On the other hand, the film also broke the record as it’s IMDb rating climbed to 10 within half an hour of the release.
According to a report the film has got 21,000 votes and has been rated 10 out of 10. The movie has also gained the first position on IMDb’s ‘Top Rated Indian Movies’ list leaving behind Kamal Haasan and R Madhavan’s 2003 Tamil film Anbe Sivam.
Dil Bechara shows Sushant Singh Rajput as Manny who is suffering from osteosarcoma while Sanjana Sanghi plays the role of Kizie Basu battling thyroid cancer. Ever since the film has gone online, fans have been raving about the movie and Sushant’s performance which is being lauded by the audience and critics alike.
