ISLAMABAD: A senior citizen from Dera Ghazi Khan District is still deprived of his allegedly occupied property despite the orders of Islamabad High Court.
Talking to M.M News, the victim Qadir Khan Baloch informed that he had bought eleven shops at Rawalpindi Committee Chowk and set up a travel agency.
“In 2003, Abdul Hameed Siddiqui accused me of sending people to Saudi Arabia illegally and filed a case in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) due to his influence,” he added.
He further said, “When I was arrested, Abdul Hameed Siddiqui and his accomplices took advantage of the situation and prepared forge documents and seized my travel agency and eleven shops.”
According to the senior citizen, he was sentenced to five years in prison, while his son was acquitted. Later, he appealed to Islamabad High Court and was acquitted in the case.
“After returning from jail, I filed a case against the Abdul Hameed Siddiqui in Islamabad High Court and the court gave the verdict in my favour,” he said, adding that despite the orders, he had not received the possession of his property.
The senior citizen claimed that Abdul Hameed Siddiqui and his goons were threatening him constantly for withdrawing the case. “I appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief Justice of Pakistan and COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa to take notice of the case and give possession of my property,” he concluded.
