MOSCOW: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the return of Afghan refugees with dignity should be an integral part of peace talks.
Addressing the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers in Moscow, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the SCO could promote regional cooperation against the coronavirus and Pakistan is ready to share its experiences with the world to deal with the virus.
He said that China had helped cope with the difficult situation in the coronavirus, adding that it was wrong to use the global epidemic for politics and associate it with any religion or class, while the United Nations was committed to global peace, security, and global development.

The foreign minister said that peaceful resolution of long-standing conflicts was essential for the eradication of poverty and socio-economic problems and the resolution of the conflicts required implementation of Security Council resolutions.
Qureshi said that contrary to the resolutions of the Security Council, he was against changing the status of the disputed territories. “A peaceful and stable Afghanistan is essential for the region and the world, while Pakistan has always maintained that there is no military solution to the Afghan conflict,” Qureshi added.
