PM Imran takes notice of Lahore motorway gang-rape

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken notice for allegedly raping a woman on the Lahore Motorway and ordered the IG Punjab to arrest the accused immediately.

It may be recalled that a woman was gang-raped on the motorway in the Gujjar Pura area of ​​Lahore yesterday. As per reports, two men broke the glass of a car on the motorway and took the woman and her children out, after which they took them to nearby bushes and allegedly raped the woman in front of the children.

The woman was on her way to Gujranwala from Lahore when the car ran out of petrol due to which she was waiting for her husband. The accused also took Rs 100,000 in cash, gold jewelry, and ATM cards from the woman.

Moreover, Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda urged all parliamentarians to join hands to enact legislation that paves the way for the public hanging of rapists. The minister said he is going to meet the prime minister today and assured that strict action will be taken against the culprits.
