LAHORE: The Lahore High Court will hear the petition filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz in which she sought her removal from the Exit Control List (ECL) after 8 days.
LHC Justice Ali Baqar Najafi will hear the petition filed by the PML-N vice president. In her plea, Maryam Nawaz requested the court to order authorities to let go off her passport and name remove from the ECL so she could travel abroad to meet her ailing father.
Earlier on 8th February, the plea of Maryam was dismissed by the LHC. She filed a petition last year in December. She was granted bail in the same month in 2019 by the LHC but the court did not grant her the passport back since.
Maryam’s family including her brothers and have already been staying in her London residence to look after her father Nawaz Sharif.
Nawaz Sharif has been staying in London for his medical treatment, in this regard he was granted a further exemption in bail by the accountability court for 14 days in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
