RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) metropolitan planning and traffic engineering (MP and TE) directorate have decided to register cases against two illegal housing schemes, Rudn enclave Adiala road and Model Town Housing Scheme Gujar Khan.
The directorate has advises the general public that in their own interest they should not make the investment in any illegal or unauthorized Housing Schemes which status declared illegal by RDA, added RDA would take action against these schemes and will not take responsibility for any losses.
The notices were issued to the owners and marketing companies under Punjab private housing Scheme and Land sub-division rules 2020 and ordered them to stop advertisement of these housing schemes.
RDA spokesman said in a statement that the DG RDA has directed the MP&TE Directorate to take stern action against illegal housing schemes, development, construction of booking and site offices, added that action should be taken according to the law.
The authorities were also directed to register First Information Report (FIR) in relevant Police Stations against the owners of the illegal housing schemes.
