ISLAMABAD: A video of a man allegedly using abusive language against Pakistan while expressing anger over a road closure has gone viral on social media.
According to information circulating on social media, the man seen in the video has been identified as Abid Dogar and is reportedly a resident of Islamabad. Social media users claim that he became angry after a road was closed due to a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest.

The viral footage appears to show traffic moving along a nearby road, with claims that an alternative route was also available. Despite this, the man can allegedly be seen continuing to express anger and using offensive language against Pakistan.
The man is also allegedly heard repeatedly using words cursing Pakistan. During a conversation with a police officer, he reportedly claimed that he paid Rs5 million in taxes annually. The police officer responded that other citizens also pay taxes.
The video has sparked a strong reaction on social media, with users calling on the relevant authorities to take notice of the incident and take legal action against the man if any violation of the law is established.
Social media users have argued that while frustration over protests or road closures may be understandable, using abusive language against the country and its people is unacceptable.
Questions are also being raised over whether the relevant authorities will take action if the conduct shown in the video is found to constitute a violation of the law.
No official statement has so far been issued by the police or other relevant authorities regarding the incident.
