During the ongoing Asian Games in Japan, the Pakistani flag fell to the ground at one point. Seeing this, Nigar Sultana immediately picked it up and carefully held onto it.

Asked about the incident by a journalist, Nigar Sultana said that the flag should be respected and that, in her view, the flags of both Pakistan and Bangladesh deserve equal respect.
