The railway track in Quetta’s Sariab area was blown up in an explosion, leading to the suspension of train services.
According to details, explosive material was used to destroy the railway track in the Sariab area of Quetta.
Police stated that the explosion damaged the track, due to which train operations have been halted.
Following the blast, a team from the police bomb disposal squad reached the site, while the police cordoned off the area.
Earlier, two back-to-back explosions were reported on Quetta’s Qambrani Road, targeting a police checkpoint and a vehicle belonging to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD). However, no casualties were reported in those incidents.
Police said the first explosion occurred near Qambrani Road when unidentified motorcyclists hurled a hand grenade at a police checkpoint.
The second blast, carried out using an improvised explosive device (IED), took place in the same vicinity when miscreants attempted to target a CTD vehicle heading toward the site of the first explosion.
