TV host Iqrar-ul-Hassan’s wife and former news anchor, Farah Iqrar, has said that if her husband becomes the Prime Minister in the future, she would not be the First Lady but the Second Lady.
Farah Iqrar recently appeared on Neo TV’s program, where she discussed her husband’s entry into politics and the possibility of him becoming Prime Minister in the future.
She revealed that before launching his movement aimed at mobilizing the youth in politics, Iqrar-ul-Hassan had consulted her.
According to her, her husband’s focus is on the youth, as he believes that if politicians from traditional political parties can become prime minister, then an ordinary young person should also have the same opportunity.
She added that her husband is not campaigning to make himself Prime Minister; rather, he encourages ordinary young people to aim for the country’s top leadership.
Farah Iqrar said that her husband’s movement is still in its initial stages. At present, he is only holding meetings with young people, and it is too early to predict what the outcome of this initiative will be.
She shared that when her husband began his political drive to mobilize the youth, many people started levelling accusations against him.
According to her, people began saying that Iqrar-ul-Hassan was being backed by others and that he was politically active at someone’s behest.
Farah Iqrar admitted that even she had doubts when very close people suggested the same, prompting her to question her husband.
She said her question disappointed him, and he expressed dismay that even his own family began doubting him.
During the conversation, Farah Iqrar said jokingly that if her husband eventually becomes Prime Minister, she would not be the First Lady but the Second Lady.
She explained that since her husband has multiple wives, she cannot be the First Lady but would instead be the Second Lady.
It may be noted that Iqrar-ul-Hassan has been married three times. His wives include Qurat-ul-Ain, Farah Iqrar, and Aroosa Khan, all three of whom have worked as news anchors.
