ISTANBUL: President Dr. Arif Alvi has arrived in Istanbul on a three-day official visit at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya, senior Turkish officials, and Pakistan’s Ambassador Cyrus Qazi received the President at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport. During his stay, the President will hold talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and discuss bilateral relations and regional issues.
President Arif Alvi will also meet prominent Turkish businessmen to promote economic cooperation between the two countries. During the visit, the Presidents of the two countries will attend the inauguration ceremony of the first ship to be built for the Pakistan Navy in Istanbul.

During the meeting, bilateral relations and regional issues will be discussed. According to the media wing of the Presidency, the two presidents will also attend the unveiling ceremony of four Pakistan Navy ships in Istanbul.
It should be noted that Pakistan and Turkey have deep friendly relations and the two brotherly Islamic countries have a strong position regarding the unity of the Muslim Ummah and Kashmir and Palestine. The two countries have also played an important role in easing the ongoing tensions and establishing peace in Afghanistan.
