Bollywood star turned mommy Kareena Kapoor has talked about raising her sons and shared that she does not want to be an overinvolved mother.
While talking in an interview, Kareena Kapoor while comparing the nature of her both sons said, “Jeh, her second looks exactly like me and Tim looks like Saif Ali Khan.” She asserted that when Taimur, her eldest son was six months old, he did not like too many new faces, but Jeh seems to be comfortable.
She also shared that through both her pregnancies, she worked throughout, doing endorsements, ads, and films, “I was even shooting a romantic number with Aamir Khan for Lal Singh when I was 5months into my pregnancy with Jeh.”
Kareena Kapoor went on to say that she wants both her sons to be thorough gentlemen and want people to say they are well-brought-up and kind-hearted. “I don’t want them to be movie stars. I’ll be happy if Tim comes and tells me I want to do something else… climb Mount Everest may be… that’s his choice. I want to stand by and support my boys,”
Kareena said that she does not want to be an overinvolved mom. “I don’t want to be like a helicopter mom. I want them to fall and learn because that’s the way my mother taught me.”
“My mother was like, do what you want, make your mistakes and then learn to repair them because that’s the way it works. So that’s the way I am parenting both the boys. Jeh, of course, is small, but Tim is now much more aware. I am like if he does something wrong, you clear up your mess. That’s the only way they learn,” she added.
