KARACHI: The Rabita Committee (Coordination Committee) of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has inducted 9 more members into its fold.

The move came following ongoing re-unification efforts of various MQM factions, including that of Mustafa Kamal’s of Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), thanks to continued maneuvers of Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori. MQM Haqiqi Afaq group is yet to respond positively to Governor’s call for joining MQM-P.

Among the new members, six belonged to Mustafa Kamal group and three were the close associates of Farooq Sattar.
Syed Hafeezuddin, Hasaan Sabir and Aasia Ishaq became members of the Rabita Committee.
Afaq Jamal, Sofia Saeed and Shamshad Siddiqui also became members of the Rabita Committee. Dr Nighat Shakeel, Kamran Farooqui and Waseem Hassan also became members of the Rabita Committee.
